Hey guys!
Tonight I am abandoning my regular post for a video blog! I love it when bloggers to video blogs because I feel like I can get to know them a little better, so I thought I’d do one up.
This is my first time ever doing one, and I’m feeling a little antsy posting this but…here ya go! (Can you spot my little black kitty chilling in the background?

Hope you have a great evening!

I cannot believe you don’t like pumpkin! Here: http://www.bigredkitchen.com/2008/11/two-ingredients-pumpkin-cake-with-apple.html is a link to a pumpkin cake that I made recently. It is super delicious & super easy to make. I used a Spice cake mix & for the glaze, instead of apple cider, I used apple juice.
I found the canned pumpkin puree in with the pie filling at No Frills (the big one on hwy 2 West of Brock). I didn’t use pie filling, though, it was just plain ol’ pureed pumpkin right next to the cans of pumpkin pie filling.
Good luck!!
Allllllright, I could get down with that. If I ever go to No Frills, that is the one I frequent, so I will check it out fo’ sho’! Glad you are catching up.
Totally didn’t expect you to sound like that!!! (not a bad thing)!! I just build a mental persona of bloggers. This was a cute vlog, haha.
I found the pumpkin at the superstore in the baking section where the pie fillings were. I don’t have a favorite recipe yet, to be quite honest. I’ve made muffins that were good but definitely need some tweaking. I’m excited to see what you’ll do with it!
Was this shot on your MacBook? I’m ridiculous. I didn’t even think of that for my vlog… I just want to know if I sound different too! Lol
Me too! Everyone sounds different than how I assume! PLEASE do a vlog! And yep, I used my MacBook! I couldn’t figure out how to get it on here without uploading it to youtube though.
Pie filling section…GENIUS!!!!!!
Nicely done. Caroline also is not a fan of pumpkin pie,so you are in great company
I knew I wasn’t alone!
I LOVED your vlog! It was cool to hear your voice!
Your so pretty and I love your smile!
Try baking with pumpkin and adding some spices like cinnamon
Aw, yay! Loved hearing your voice. And I can only do pumpkin sweetened up in baked goods or in oatmeal. It’s got a bitter taste to me otherwise.
Thanks
I’m glad I’m not alone!
I love this! “this is my first video blog…so far it’s kind of awkward” LOL
I found my pumpkin at No frills…in the baking aisle…it was right beside all of the pie fillings. When I went to buy it I panicked and bought like 4 cans because from all the blogs I read made me scared there is some sort of canned pumpkin shortage. My boyfriend thought I was insane (what else is new)
anyways, I made this last week: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/09/pumpkin-spiced-oatmeal-pecan-cookies.html
amazing!! super easy, low fat, and delicious. Not super pumpkin-y either. I shared with some friends who aren’t crazy about pumpkin pie either and they really enjoyed them! Just the perfect amount of pumpkin spice-y goodness
<3
I went today and found it! Of course that’s where it was…so silly. And there were only two cans left!
I think that’s the one I’m going to make first.
Thanks for the recipe

Yep, as the others have stated…next to the pie filling. I never would have thought of a video blog…fun idea! I’ve done a couple good pumpkin recipes. If you want a change from sweet pumpkin recipes, try my pumpkin hummus: http://hungryhealthyhilary.com/2011/09/15/pumpkin-party/ I also have a pumpkin dip that is yummy with apples: http://hungryhealthyhilary.com/2011/09/17/fall-on-a-plate/
Try them both…you WILL like pumpkin!
Ah! I loved the vlog Lindsey!
So…re: pumpkin. One time I ate so much of it that my skin turned orange (or it was the no-name brand sunless tanner I was experimenting with).
hahaha, that would be no good!
I love the vlog I wanna do one!
Very cute! I love vlogs too because I feel like I get to know the blogger on a whole different level!

Love the video blog!!! I am always curious to hear what people’s voices sound like. I hope you do more of these in the future. Maybe eventually I’ll build up the courage to do a vlog too. I just hate seeing myself on film. Ick! I have to get over that fear first.
Anyways, pumpkin is in my baking aisle, but it can be sometimes hard to find (depending on shortages or whatnot). I always buy several cans when I see it b/c I have a fear of being w/o it. Luckily, it’s available down here in mass quantities, so no need to panic yet. My favorite recipe is SO easy. Just 1 box of spice cake mix, mixed together with one can of pumpkin (not the pumpkin pie mix…the regular pumpkin…you have to be careful about that!). Mix together and bake in a cake or cupcakes according to directions. So yummy!!! Top w/ cool whip if desired.
I had no idea you didn’t like pumpkin, that kills me a little
just kidding!!! I hope you do find some pumpkin and try out some recipes, though. It just makes baked goods so deliciously moist. I don’t really like plain old pumpkin pie that much either.
One time, Bobby and I went out and got the biggest pumpkin we could find. We carved out a picture of his fears into the pumpkin and then put a candle in a beer bottle and lit it up. It was a huge success at Halloween. Then Bobby made pumpkin pie and spooned it all over me.
OMG!! After listening to your video blog it again confirms we are food soulmates! I HATE pumpkin. I have never understood what all the fuss was about. I didn’t know people were so crazy about it. I never turn down desert but will if it’s pumpkin too. The only pumpkin thing I like is the pumpkin spiced lattes. Crazy!
If you aren’t converted, you can always chill with me in the non-pumpkin loving section.
You’re so cute! I thought your v-blog was great!
Haha, we ARE food soulmates!
I’m hoping to make the pumpkin yummy, but we shall see…
Thanks lover
